Mention the name “The Granville Island Toy Company” and seldom will you find a Vancouverite who doesn't know what you are talking about. Our flagship store (located in Kids Market on Granville Island) has been serving generations of families for 30 years! People who used to come in as children are now coming to the store with their own kids! One of those children is (now grown up–but young at heart) owner Joanna Mileos who, together with her husband Craig Hartman, continues to select products based on quality, not on volume. “We focus on finding suppliers who care for kids as much as we do. If it’s not good enough for our own children to play with, then it’s not good enough for our customers.”
In 2007, the second location opened at 3298 Main Street (corner of 17th Avenue) in Vancouver. Triple the size of our original location, the Main Street store offers a wider selection of eco-friendly, educational toys, games and puzzles for the young and young at heart. In 2010, The Granville Island Toy Company expanded its Main Street store to include Vancouver’s Only Specialty Playmobil Shop which carries the entire line of Playmobil including exclusive items that you won't find anywhere else!
